WASHINGTON - Congressman McCormick introduced the PROTECTS Act (Protecting Resources Of Taxpayers to Eliminate Childhood Transgender Surgeries) yesterday along with 32 fellow Representatives from the US House. This legislation is largely the same as the PROTECTS Act McCormick introduced in the 118th and he looks forward to this making it all the way to Pres. Trump's desk to be signed into law.
WASHINGTON — Congressman Rich McCormick (GA 06) and Senator Roger Marshall (KS), both doctors, lead a bicameral group of 29 lawmakers in expressing serious concerns regarding the World Health Organization's (WHO) proposed Guideline Development Group (GDG) on the health of trans and gender diverse people. In a letter to Director-General Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, the lawmakers highlighted a range of issues, including a lack of transparency, potential conflicts of interest, and the absence of rigorous evidence-based practices in the GDG's proposed guidelines.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Rich McCormick (R-GA) and Congressman French Hill (R-AR) introduced a resolution urging the Government of Nigeria to immediately cease the wrongful detainment of Tigran Gambaryan. Gambaryan, a U.S. citizen and former Federal agent, has been detained in Nigeria since February 2024 on fabricated charges including tax evasion and money laundering.
