Values

PROTECTS Act: I am the proud sponsor of the Protecting Resources of Taxpayers to Eliminate Childhood Transgender Surgeries (PROTECTS) Act. This bill prohibits federal funds from being used to provide gender transition procedures to minors. As a physician and a father, I will never stop fighting to protect all children by ensuring these dangerous medical procedures are not funded by American taxpayers. Protecting children’s health and well-being must be a top priority

Abortion: As an Emergency Room physician, I deeply respect the sanctity of life. Life begins at conception, and I am committed to defending and supporting the unborn, recognizing their inherent dignity and fundamental human rights. For these reasons, I am a cosponsor of the Life at Conception Act, which declares that the right to life guaranteed by the Constitution is granted to every human being, born and unborn.

I am committed to ensuring women have compassionate alternatives to abortion, including easy access to life-affirming resources. I am an original cosponsor to the Pregnancy.Gov Act, which provides comprehensive, credible information on resources available to expectant mothers using the trusted “.gov” domain. This site would be a great way to expand access to support services that uphold the value of life.

Safeguarding Women’s Sports: As an athlete myself, I understand the time, dedication, discipline, and commitment that it takes to exceed in any sport, for both men and women. I believe strongly in preserving a level playing field for female athletes, and it is unacceptable when biological males are allowed to compete in female-only athletic events. This undermines the hard work and achievements of our outstanding female athletes, and I am determined to bring an end to these unfair, unscientific, and dangerous rules.

I am proud to be a cosponsor of the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, which safeguards a fair playing field for female athletes in competitive sports by ensuring that school athletics comply with the Title IX recognition of a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth. This bill ensures that biological females compete against other biological females in women’s competitive sports that are funded through Title IX.
