Help with a Federal Agency

Residents of the 7th Congressional District of Georgia, please contact us for assistance in dealing with Federal agencies.

To streamline your inquiry, please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • For casework involving the Social Security Administration or Office of Personnel Management, please provide your social security number.
  • For casework involving the Department of Veterans Affairs, please provide your VA claim number.
  • For casework involving the Internal Revenue Service, please provide one of three pieces of information. Our office will either need your Taxpayer Identification number, your social security number, or your Taxpayer Advocates Service case number, if you already have a case open with the Taxpayer Advocates Service.
  • For immigration casework (I-130, I-140, I-485, etc..) please provide your receipt number or your A-number along with any supplemental information including your 797c letter from USCIS if applicable. If you know the name of the Service Center or Field office where your case is being processed, please include it. 
  • Along with providing the requested information, please always make sure to include a detailed statement and copies of any related documents or correspondence that you may have from the agency involved.
  • If you are seeking assistance for a minor, please fill out the form and sign on behalf of your child. Make sure to note that you are the parent or guardian in parenthesis next to the signature.

  • If you currently have a case open with another congressional office, please indicate which one, and on what issue. This helps to avoid confusion in processing your casework.

Please Note:

The Privacy Act of 1974 (5 U.S.C. § 552a(link is external)) requires that Members of Congress or their staff have written authorization before they can obtain information about an individual's case. If you're seeking assistance for more than one person, please have them complete a separate privacy release form.
