After over 20 years on active duty in our nation’s military, I’m committed to upholding our national defense and supporting our warfighters.
During my time in the Marine Corps and the Navy, I served around the world and saw firsthand why our nation needs to lead diplomacy abroad. That’s why I joined the House Foreign Affairs Committee when I got to Congress, where my colleagues and I work to uphold our national security interests and promote global peace.
As an emergency room physician, healthcare is a topic close to my heart. I have seen firsthand how our healthcare system fails too many Americans.
I believe in protecting life, safeguarding children, and ensuring fairness in women’s sports. As a physician, father, and athlete, I will always fight to defend the unborn, protect kids from dangerous medical procedures, and preserve a level playing field for female athletes.
In different eras, people from different regions all over the world have come to the United States seeking a better life and pursuing the American Dream, while also contributing greatly to the success and innovative spirit of our nation.
As a veteran of both the United States Marine Corps and Navy, caring for the courageous men and women who have served our country is a top priority for me.
I am honored to be appointed as chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations of the Science, Space, and Technology Committee by Chairman Babin in the 119th Congress.
I am proud to call our district my home, which is why local issues are so important to me. And I will continue to fight for our communities.
