Veterans
We need to serve those who have served us. Our veterans are the backbone of this nation and the reason we are free today. As a 16-year Marine veteran and 4-year Navy doctor who served in combat zones overseas, I couldn’t care more about our veterans and getting them the care they deserve. Far too many veterans are homeless, struggling with mental illness, and too many veterans commit suicide. I will continue to stand up and fight for the care veterans deserve, while ensuring that we do so in a way that is fiscally responsible and sustainable for future generations.

In Arlington Cemetery there stands a lone guard, keeping an eternal vigil at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This sacred spot of American soil is not only a monument to our nameless warriors lost to time. It is a promise to all who lay down their lives in service to our country:
No matter what the future holds for our nation… No matter what politicians and presidents come and go… No matter if every other word and deed of men shall be forgotten… You will be remembered.
WASHINGTON - Rep. Rich McCormick (GA-06) has co-sponsored a bipartisan Wounded Warrior Bill of Rights to cut through red tape, improve transparency and increase accountability for wounded warriors. The legislation would ensure veterans are able to effectively appeal decisions made regarding their medical separation from service and entitlement to disability benefits.
