Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Rich McCormick (GA-07), Chairman of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee’s Subcommittee on Investigations and Oversight, chaired a hearing examining America’s biotechnology leadership, federal oversight of high-risk biological research, and the growing biotechnology race with the Chinese Communist Party.

Washington, D.C. - House Science, Space, and Technology Committee Chairman Brian Babin and Investigations and Oversight Subcommittee Chairman Rich McCormick sent letters to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Chris Wright, National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Jay Bhattacharya, and National Science Foundation (NSF) Acting Director Brian Stone requesting information on how their agencies are advancing U.S. leadership in biotechnology research while protecting against biosecurity and research security risks.

Alpharetta, GA. - On Wednesday, September 2, Congressman Rich McCormick (GA-07) will host a telephone town hall with constituents of Georgia’s Seventh Congressional District.

The telephone town hall will provide constituents with an opportunity to hear directly from Congressman McCormick, ask questions, and discuss issues important to their families and communities.

ALPHARETTA, Ga. —  Congressman Rich McCormick (GA-07) hosted a successful job fair today that brought together more than 100 employers and 1,200 job seekers from across Georgia, connecting hardworking Georgians with employment opportunities in industries ranging from healthcare and manufacturing to technology, public safety, education, skilled trades, and veterans services. Attendees had the opportunity to meet directly with hiring managers, submit résumés, interview for open positions, and learn about career training and workforce development resources.
