Congressman McCormick Calls for Rep. Tlaib to be Censured

WASHINGTON - Congressman McCormick just introduced a privileged resolution that directly and accurately calls to censure Representative Tlaib for her antisemitic and racist actions.

“We must send a clear message to Rep. Tlaib that actions have consequences. The issue of censure should transcend partisanship and we cannot minimize the significance of her remarks about our friend and ally, Israel. It's imperative that we address these concerns promptly and judiciously, which is why we believe that the best course of action is to move forward with censuring Representative Tlaib in a way that holds her accountable while ensuring the First Amendment is protected. This is what I have done and will continue to do.”
