Rep. McCormick Defends Churches and Pro-Life Organizations

January 12, 2023

Scores of attacks and vandalism in last year

WASHINGTON, January 10, 2023 — Rep. Rich McCormick has joined House Republican Conference Vice Chairman Mike Johnson (LA-04) and over 100 Republican Members of Congress in co-sponsoring a congressional resolution condemning the nationwide wave of violence, property damage, threats, trespassing, and intimidation against churches and pro-life organizations in 2022.

"In the last year, churches and Pro-Life organizations across the country have been vandalized and threatened by criminals who seek to silence people of faith," said Rep. McCormick. Most recently, vandals targeted the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, where the great Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. once preached. Just as Reverend King urged his fellow Americans to respect every person as a child of God, so today we must stand in solidarity with the courageous men and women who recognize the sanctity of human life from its very beginning."
